The following recipes are for using a soya milk maker.

 

Chocolate soya milk

Ingredients

1 tbsp coco powder

1/2 cup soya beans

1 tbsp sugar

60g dark chocolate

1/2 tsp salt

 

Preparation

Put all the ingredients except dark chocolate in the soya milk maker. If you use an older model of the machine, place the ingredients in the filter. Switch on the maker, when the machine is done, stir in dark chocolate.

Serve cold or hot.

Simply recipes for flavoured soya milk

Mung bean soya milk

Add mung beans to your soya beans when making soya milk.

Mung beans and soya beans ratio 1:3. Add 1 tbsp of honey or white sugar for a little sweet flavour.

 

Rice soya milk

Rice: soaked soya beans=1:2.

 

Black Rice soya milk

Rice: soaked soya beans=1:2. Black rice is very tough and needs soaking overnight.

 

Oats soya milk

Oats: dried soya beans=1:2.

 

Buck wheat soya milk

Buck wheat : soya beans=1:2.

 

Yellow corn soya milk

Corn: soya beans=1:1.

 

Dates & oats soya milk

10 dates. Oat meal: soya beans= 1:1.

 

Green tea &Rice soya milk

2 tsp loose green tea (dry). Soya beans: rice=1:1

 

Millets soya milk

Soya beans: millets= 2:1

 

Goji millet soya milk

20 goji berries. Millets: soya beans=2:3

 

Sesame soya milk

Soya beans: sesame seeds=5:1

 

Walnuts, rice & peanuts soya milk

5 walnuts cloves. 20 peanuts. Rice : soya beans=1:1

 

Raisins, lemon soya milk

10g raisins. 1 slice of waxed lemon. Stir in 1 tsp honey.

 

Orange soya milk

¼ orange chopped to pieces (with or without skin).

 

Water melon soya milk

Water melon sliced to small pieces. Melon: soya beans=2:1

 

Classic five grain soya milk

Rice: millets: wheat meal: corn meal: soya beans=1:1:1:1:1


 Soya Milk Smoothie

Soya berry smoothie 

Ingredients: blackberries and raspberries, fresh or frozen

                 fresh soya milk, cooled from fresh

                 1 teaspoon of honey

Put all above into the soya milk maker and choose the blending function. Simply delicious! 


 
soya_milk_risotto
Ingredients:
3 tbsp Peas, defrost if frozen
3 tbsp dried soya beans, soaked
2 tbsp peanuts, ideally with skin on, soaked
2 cups rice. Best use non quick cook rice, such as risotto rice.
1 cup buck wheat. Can also use barley.
1 thick slice of ham, chopped into cubes
1 chunk of pumpkin, chopped into small cubes. I used sweet corn instead.
4 dried shitaki mushrooms, soaked overnight.
1 medium onion, minced.
2 portions of fish or chicken. Sliced into bite site.
Any green veg of your choice. I used Pak Choi.
 
Instructions:
1. Make soya milk with peas, peanuts, and soya beans.
2. Shallow fry onion with cooking oil, in a big frying pan.
3. When onion is nicely browned, add in fish/chicken, ham and shitaki mushrooms, stir for 2 minutes.
4. Add UNWASHED rice, and barley, quickly stir for another 2 minutes until rice is evenly coated with oil.
5. Add hot water to the level that just covers rice and bring it to boil.
6. Add hot soya milk to the near top of the pan, add in pumpkin/sweet corn and simmer for 10 minutes.
7. Season with black pepper, salt, chilli and a little sugar.
8. Stir in green veg and serve.
